Classified as a mid to full size sedan, the Buick LeSabre can get up to 20 MPG (miles per gallon) in the city and up to 29 MPG on the highway. The sedan has a 4-speed automatic transmission and comes with either a 3.8 L V6 engine. It has a curb weight of 3,567 to 3,591 pounds and a tire size of P215/70R15. The Buick LeSabre is available in two different configurations. These configurations include Custom and Limited. This sedan was considered quite up scale during its time and has been in production for over 50 years. The car was considered the entry level Full Size Buick, carrying the lowest base price in the Buick lineup. It carried the title of The Best Selling Car in America until its production came to an end in 2005. The last LeSabre rolled off the assembly line on July 22, 2005. The name originated with the 1951 GM Le Sabre show car designed by Harley Earl; that car is often mistakenly attributed to the Buick division but in fact it was presented as a GM vehicle without reference to a specific GM division. Buick closely related their 1956-1957 models to the GM LeSabre by replicating the top section of the rear wing into their design.
