The C-Max is available in two different configurations, including the SE and Titanium. The C-Max was previously called the Ford Focus C-Max and is often classified as a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV). It has been produced by the Ford Motor Company since 2003. Ford introduced the C-Max in the United States as its first hybrid-only line of vehicles, which includes the C-Max Hybrid, released in September 2012, and the C-Max Energi plug-in hybrid, launched in October 2012. The C-Max was originally only available only in Europe, however the first generation was partially available in New Zealand. The first generation of Ford C-Max's were from 2003 to 2010 and its second generation from (2011–2019). The C-Max Hybrid was released in the United States in September 2012 as a 2013 model year, followed by the release of the plug-in Energi version by mid October 2012.
