The four door sedan seats five passengers comfortably and is manufactured by Ford Motor Company's Lincoln brand and was marketed as the Zephyr in 2006 before being marketed as the MKZ from 2007 to 2020. Two generations of the vehicle were produced, in both gasoline and hybrid gas/electric models. The MKZ was manufactured at Ford's Hermosillo Stamping & Assembly plant in Mexico. Production ended in 2020 to make way for new Ford vehicles. When the MKZ was first introduced in 2006 as the Zephyr, it was unveiled in concept form at the 2004 New York International Auto Show, previewing a new entry-level luxury sedan. The front featured Lincoln's signature waterfall grille and jeweled quad projector beam headlights (HID headlights were available).
